I feel I am a humming bird because I do my best to bring positive change in the community and environment. I have taken part in various environmental activities in Nairobi. One of my proudest undertakings was the cleaning of the Nairobi river during the Wangari Maathai day. Nairobi river plays a major role in bringing water to the residents of Nairobi as well as powers factories in the industrial area. We cleaned the section that passes through Michuki park leaving it cleaner than I would have ever imagined. We picked up plastics and debris along the river banks and in the river. We then sorted the plastics and did a sensitization exercise on the best and efficient ways to dispose of waste.
